If you donate the ganja, they will come. Over 100 people lined up in front of "Roscoe's Compassionate Collective" in Canoga Park earlier this week, after the dispensary ran a "free pot" promotion for the first 100 loyal medicinal marijuana customers to walk through its doors on a Monday morning.
According to the L.A. Times:
JT Wiegman, 37, the owner's son, said it is indeed for real and as of 11 a.m., they began giving 3.5 grams of marijuana, worth $55, to each recipient. The shop has been open only three months, and though Wiegman admitted the giveaway was in part a promotion, he said that wasn't the main point.
Compassion for the suffering and sick, says Wiegman, is the real point. A point he's elevating above profit -- at least for this particular promotion.
